On July 3, 1933 a baby girl was born in Live Oak Community to Eugene Times, Sr. and Mollie Bell Wyche Times, whom they named Veree LaVern Times. She was the baby born out of eight children. She attended O. H. Herman High School in Van Vleck, Texas.
She confessed her life at an early age and was baptized at Vine Grove Christian Church.
She met and married the love of her life Harold S. Williams on December 25, 1953. To this union one daughter was born. During her marriage she faithfully served as First Lady at Vine Grove Christian Church in Live Oak Community, Willow Park Christian Church in San Antonio, and First Sacred Christian Church in Bay City. Later in life she joined Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. L. C. Cunningham, Jr. is the pastor. She served faithfully until her health declined.
Veree was a wonderful mother, she loved cooking and especially baking desserts, she had a strong faith in Christ, she loved church, and singing in the choir. She was also an excellent seamstress. She was a great caretaker of her son-in-law in his declining health.
On Wednesday, January 18, 2018 at 10:40 p.m. she answered the call from her heavenly father to come home and be at rest. Veree was preceded In death by her husband, Harold S. Williams; parents; siblings: Eugene Times, Jr., Roy Times (Odiest), Joshua Thymes, Oslee Times, Jimmie Times, Jessie Times, and Joe Times (Helen); son-in-law, Timmie Brown.
She leaves her most precious memories to her only child, LaVernn Brown of Van Vleck; two granddaughters, Myika Brown and Kimberly Brown of Houston; two sister-in-laws, Louisiana Times of Live Oak Community and Audrey Times of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
