Michael Jermaine ("Mikey") Holmes, Jr.November 24, 1998 ~ July 21, 2017 (age 18)
On November 24, 1998, a bubbling baby boy was born to Michael Jermaine Holmes Sr. and Jalandra Annette Holmes in Angleton, Texas whom they named Michael Jermaine Holmes Jr. better known as “Mikey.”
Mikey’s first few school years were spent in Bay City, Texas but he later attended school in Brazosport ISD where he graduated from Brazoswood High School in January 2017. Mikey was baptized at the tender age of 16 at South Side Church of Christ, under the leadership of Brother Clovis Mitchell.
Mikey was very loving and always had a smile on his face. He was active in sports and loved what every teenager enjoyed “playing video games”.
Mikey’s transition came to a new beginning on Friday, July 21, 2017 in Clute, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Bobbie Morgan Eaton and LoKathryn White; grandfather, Sam Allen; aunts, Delorian Morgan and Linda Eaton; and uncles, Archie and Kenneth White.
Mikey leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother and father Michael Holmes Sr. and Jalandra Holmes; sisters, Maurisha Morgan, Mariah Quinn and Mykesia Holmes; brothers, Maurice Morgan (Daniela), Marquez Holmes, Devin Toney, Treyson Wilson, Mi’Karion Holmes, and Jae’vin Grice; nephews, Christian Smith, Macen Smith, and Makhah Morgan; niece, Aubrey Estrada; grandparents, Brenda Morgan and July Franklin; aunts, Charlotte Morgan, Eugenia Philips (John), Marsha Morgan, Beverly Knoxon, Roslyn White, Michelle Lemons, Rhonda Robinson, and Africa Franklin; uncles, Gregory Morgan, Bobby Morgan, Darrell White, Gerald White, Keith White, Terrell White and July Franklin (Valencia); loving and most cherished special aunt, Kimberly White Good; special cousins, Anthony White (Dewanda) and their children, DeAnthony and Drake; Godmothers, Valecia Lowe and Ramona Williams; and a host of great-aunts and great-uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Mikey will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend.
